Qhemet Biologics Olive Honey Hydrating Balm

First off,  let me just say - I adore Qhemet Biologic products! The creator just seems to have a knack for understanding parched, dehydrated hair. I suppose I'll have to start calling her the "hair whisperer", because she, in my opinion, is just amazing.

Ok, now to the OHHB. Love it, love it! Ummm, did you think I was going to say anything other than that, LOL?

So here's what I like to do:  I take a sizable amount of my Trader Joe's Nourishing Spa Conditioner, and add to that about 1 heaping tablespoon of OHHB. Normally, just these too ingredients are enough, but I might tweek it a bit and add a little extra EVOO. I mix this together and then do my co-wash with my VO5 Vanilla Mint conditioner (which, I also will add a bit of OHHB to, or if I'm trying to save my OHHB, I'll just add regular honey and EVOO). After I rinse out my VO5 mixture, I apply my Trader Joe mixture, and put on a plastic cap. I will then either sit under my hooded dryer, or I will heat up a towel and wrap it around my head. Let this mixture sit for at least 30 minutes, but longer seems to work even better. Then I  rinse with cool water.

Ahhhh!! Let me tell you, I have very coarse, wiry hair. My hair is prone to dryness, and on top of that I like to henna, so my hair tends to get even drier. This mixture has been absolutely amazing for my hair. I mean my hair is softer, and hydrated and my curls just pop. I really am quite blown away by the results.

Now, if you are short of cash or if you just would rather not order over the internet, you can get some really good results by just using Trader Joes Nourishing Spa Condition ($2.99, in my are), some  regular jarred honey and some EVOO. But I gotta tell you - there is something about using the OHHB. The differences are small, but they are there, and I'm sure if you get a chance to try it, you will understand what I mean.

I've been doing this treatment now for the past few weeks, I co-wash every day because my hair is still short, and I use honey and EVOO for my daily washing and save my OHHB for my once a week DT, my hair has been thanking me for it.

Lastly, the OHHB can also be used as a nice leave-in. After you wash and condition, just take about a teaspoon of the OHHB, emulsify in your hands then apply to your damp hair. Yum-yum.

You can order Qhemet Biologics Olive Honey Hydrating Balm here: http://www.qhemetbiologics.com/, and there are also places where it can be purchased locally - unfortunately, it's not available locally here, but perhaps in the near future*keeps fingers crossed*.

Thanks for reading!

Ciao!

Thank you for the tips. I just ordered OHHB. I ordered a sample a year or so ago and didn't have a clue, but I want to try this again because my hair is now wide open to moisture. Love your blog!

Owww!! Please let me know how you like it! I can't get enough of it:). It definitely works best on damp hair, but I suppose that makes sense since honey is a humectant. I'm anxious to hear how it works out for you!! And thanks for the sweet comment about the blog!!

I really need to play around with this line more to get a true feel for it. Right now the only thing I'm in love with is the Alma Oil Nourishing Pomade.
